In a city as big as New York, you'd think that it would be easy to find the perfect mate to fulfill my life. Not as easy as you'd think. I might have high standards. I might be searching for something that doesn't exist. I might be looking for love in all the wrong places.
I work in the high stress television industry. I love my job, the people I work with and the companies. But there are never enough hours in the day and I often sacrifice personal time to accomplish projects.
I'm very liberal when it comes to friends and relationships (in my book, you can't have the latter without the former). I'm thinking something that leads to marriage and is more based in a healthy relationship with a little added spice. It would be nice if my she was local to New York city, but all are considered.

I really like to know people before open up. So I like to have good conversation on the first date. First dates are normally pretty awkward and meeting is even worse. So instead of picking someone up, I like to meet in public places - bookstores, coffee shops, or at a restaurant. While meeting this way makes it harder to identify the person, it is just easier to start on neutral ground.We'd go to dinner - probably Italian or Bistro. We'd have great conversation over dinner, then walk around the city for a while. We might find ourselves in a coffee or a dessert shop. From there, who knows?
