The ideal first date is one where there is no real initial awkwardness. I suppose it depends on the person I'm with as to what we would do. Some people love the club scene with the bass beating. I'm not one of those people, but I do enjoy having drinks as long as I can hear myself think and speak. It I was to have 100% control over the date, I would probably do the cliche' traditional dinner and movie first. if I hit it off then some drinks somewhere to loosen up more. I can be shy at first, but if I realize we like each other I can be pretty charming and fun to be around no matter where we are.
